About Our Pastor

Wayne was born September 19, 1955, in Franklin, Tennessee. He began his life living in very humble means which to this day has positively shaped his character and appreciation of life. Being the son of a believer, Wayne was brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Wayne continues to praise and honor his mother even though her time here on earth has passed. The foundation of his life instilled a love for God and his leadership moves people to have a relationship with God.

He is an honest, passionate, intelligent, respected individual who has excelled in every endeavor of his life including but not limited to education, business, and most importantly family and his relationship with God. Wayne has been married to the former Brenda Moore for 35 years. They are the parents of three children; Brittany, Briana, and Brian.

Wayne is a graduate of Tennessee State University and has dual degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. He continues to encourage and support the importance of pursuing higher education. This is shown in the lives of his children.

Wayne retired from Kroger as District Manager with 38 years of service. While at Kroger, he held several positions in Human Resources, Operations, and Merchandising. His leadership and work ethics is commendable.

Wayne professed Christ under the leadership of Pastor Robert Howse of Connection Hill Primitive Baptist Church. In May 2000, he served as interim Pastor through September 2000. He was elected Pastor of Limestone in October of 2000. Under the Lord’s direction, Wayne has implemented several ministries: Prayer Warriors Matthew 25, Manna on High Food Pantry, Evening Communion, Limestone Christian Learning Center, Sound and Tape, True Love Waits, Pastor’s Aide and Humanitarian and Community Health Fairs. Under his leadership, the membership has increased greatly. Also, under his guidance, seven people have become licensed Ministers. Message from the Pastor

God's priority for your life is for you to live! More than that, God desires that you live your life more abundantly. God intended that you be the head and not the tail; at the top and not the bottom; the lenders and not the borrower. He expects your life to be light to those around you who are confused, depressed, oppressed and suppressed. Many "church members" have missed this! Somewhere along the way, "church members" have focused so much on gaining material things and have forgotten to live the life that is before them. Have you reduced the joy of life to simply conforming to the world -- a life which is and never will be satisfying or fulfilled. Jesus said, "I have come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly! "(John lO:lONKN)

You must begin a journey to Higher Ground, and come to understand that the abundance of life that God promised is dependent on your willingness to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. As a born again, transformed believer, you must discover that His Word [logos] becomes alive in you. His word brings you hope and security even in dark and gloomy situations. His Word brings clarity to every decision - no matter how difficult or critical the choices may be. A transformed believer realizes that there is nothing that can take you where God's Word cannot keep you. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (KN) There is life -- more abundant life in the Word of God!

My prayer is for Him to Breathe on you. The Higher you go the thinner the air ... the harder it is to breathe ... the more difficult it is to climb. Jesus never promised that the way would not be difficult. We can follow Him to higher places because He is the Way that made a way! God will unleash incomprehensible blessings if you persevere.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
